Quarry Island Films was formed in the UK in 2013 to make entertaining and interesting films with big ideas.

The company is headed by British-Canadian Janet Wells who has worked in Development at Capitol Films and as a screenwriter for Eon (the James Bond company).   She has an MA in screenwriting from London College of Communication (UK), an MBA from Insead (France) and a BCom from Queen’s University (Canada).  Janet has worked on over 20 feature films, most recently as Executive Producer on the British Independent Feature Musical ‘Solo’. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6126006/videoplayer/vi4118263833?ref_=tt_ov_vi

Janet also regularly lectures at Lincoln University in Screenwriting and Producing. 

Quarry Island Films released its first feature, ‘Social Suicide’, that is now showing on Amazon Prime and is currently developing a television series with the multi-award winning Enlightenment Pictures whose most recent feature, ‘Despite the Falling Snow’, starred Rebecca Ferguson and Charles Dance.
